Eclipta or false daisy is a wasteground weed found growing up to 6000' in India, Brazil, Thailand and China. It is a prostrate or erect branched annual with leaves opposite each other and with white composite flower heads.
It is the source of a black hair dye.Its traditional external uses include hair loss (alopoecia), dermatitis, Athletes Foot and eczema. Viewed also as a powerful liver tonic and used for hepatitis and jaundice.
